Last Sunday the Harbour Bridge turned 75 years of being built! The celebration was something really big in the city. Everything started in the early morning. However I booked for arriving at 3pm.
Harbour Bridge, Sydney
I went to the Harbour Bridge Walk with some of my friends (Tom, Rafael, Manu, and Koldo). We took the train from Central Station to North Sydney. All the train stations were really packed, and so were the trains. On the way we crossed the bridge and saw many people wearing green phosphorescent caps.

Once we arrived to North Sydney we tried to find our group for starting the walk. The person in charge didn't arrive or answered a phone call, so we walked on our own. As soon as we joined the crowd we lost 3 people from the group. Then we found a place where we could pick up our free caps! Everyone was wearing them.
After a while we found ourselves crossing the bridge and then some seaplanes were flying close to the bridge. Everything looked very organised. There was music, security guards, people wearing funny costumes. The best thing of the walk is that is probably the only day in the year in which you can cross through the lanes, and without having a cage that prevents taking good pictures.
When we finished the walk, we headed to Darling Harbour, but first we bought some Krispy Kreme doughnuts. The Spanish guys called us and then we met at McDonald's. When they finished having lunch, Tom and I came back to Gumal, and continued to do some assessments for uni.

Note: Two more pictures coming soon. Wait for more details.
Update: The bridge is not blocked every year. Last time they blocked the traffic was in the year 2000... I'm still waiting for good signal so I can upload the other 2 pics.
